We are very excited to be able to offer the younger children in our area, as well as children who may be visiting our parks this summer, an introduction to several art mediums; paint, drawing, printing, paper making, and hand built pottery and glazing.  This experience is for rising 1st-6th graders, those who will be in 1st -6th next school year.  There is no previous experience or special skill needed, just a desire to learn something about new art forms.  The instructors are: Jacque Minarik, Masters of Fine Arts, and former art teacher of all 12 grades in a private school in Richmond, VA.  Cris Bartlett, pottery instructor will guide children through making their own hand built and glazed pottery they can keep for a lifetime.  Cyla Allison will instruct how to make one's own paper and then use that paper to make unique crafts.

Enrollment is limited to 30 children; 10 rising 1-2nd graders, 10 rising 3rd-4th graders, and 10 rising 5th and 6th graders!  We request that you fill out and submit a wait list request on our website so we can fill in the classes in case of cancellations or too few registrations in a given age range.
