This quilt is quick and easy to make. When the blocks are finished there are several lay outs other then the pictured. The instructor is giving you fabric needed for twin and queen. All fabric is cut in 2 1/2 inch strips x width of fabric.
Choose 2 different color families, such red and green. The corner fabric should read solid. Then you need 5 additional fabrics in value from medium to dark fabrics. Background fabric should five in similar value.

1st light 1/4 yd cut 2 strips
2nd light 1/3 yd cut 3 strips
3rd light 1/2 yd cut 5strips
4th light 1/2 yd cut 6 strips
5th light 2/3 yd cut 8 strips
2 color families fabric needed ( fabric measurements are for each color)
Corners 1/8 yd cut 1 strip
1st dark 1/4 yd cut 2 strips
2nd dark 1/3 yd cut 3 strips
3rd dark 1/3 yd cut 3 strips
4th dark 3/8 yd cut 4 strips
5th dark 3/8 yd cut 4 strips
Queen
Background fabric
1st light 1/3 yd cut 3 strips
2nd light 1/2 yd cut 5 strips
3rd light 5/8 yd cut 7 strips
4th light 3/4 yd cut 9 strips
5th light 1yd cut 12 strips
2 family colors fabric needed
Corner 1/4 yd cut 2strips
1st dark 1/3 yd cut 3 strips

You will also need a rotary cutter straight edge and cutting mat. Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies. An extension cord is advised.
