Come join other parents and toddlers for 40 minutes of fun, frolicking, singing, dancing, playing with basic rhythm instruments, and a wonderful time of bonding for 8 consecutive Saturday mornings starting April 6.  The children will be blissfully unaware they are developing readiness skills for school success.  Music is not only fun, it teaches listening, movement, eye hand coordination, gross and fine motor coordination, following directions, pitch, rhythm, social interactions with other children, and the list goes on.  This is an established program that has been successful for decades all over the world.  The songs are fun and easy to learn.

You can expect to learn some brand new songs and reintroduce perennial favorites, lullabies, movement activities, finger chants, and childhood musical games.  No need to bring anything except your child and a desire to have fun through music and movement.  Mo skills necessary, just a sense of fun.  We recommend that you and your child bring socks and take off your shoes in the class.  Limit 6 children.

The instructor is Joanna Cordell, former music teacher in Headstart and LEAP programs of Kanawha County Schools, Training Choir Director of Appalachian Children's Chorus of WV, Children's Music Director of two large churches in Charleston, WV, Director of ChildSong and DanceSong programs that she created.  She was the founder/ artistic director of womanSong Chorale and Mountain Laurel Ensemble.  While in Charleston, she had a large Kindermusik program of 14 classes weekly and they were a highlight of her week!
